The Holidays are Upon Us….

Don’t Forget to Add your 2021 NCP Renewal to Your List

December has arrived!! And, despite the strangeness of 2020, the December holidays will arrive like every other year and along with it will come the usual hustle and bustle. One of the items on your “to-do” list should be your 2021 National Compliance Professional designation and membership into the NCP Membership Group as it expires at the end of the month. You’ve worked incredibly hard to earn your NCP designation. You know the value it brings to you not only in regular updates, fantastic tools, an incredible annual conference and the confidence of being part of an elite group of professionals who care about compliance, but also in the sheer value it brings to those working with you when they see the N… C… P… behind your name and realize you know your stuff!

And that is the reason for this letter… to encourage you to add this important professional task to your list and taking care of it before December 31, 2020 so you secure the discounted renewal rate. We all are fully aware that 2021 is going to be busy… hopefully not as insane as 2020… but nonetheless busy as we continue to face down COVID-19, wait for a vaccine and go through the process of inoculations. We already know that the IRS has proposed new AIT regulations with some of the proposals being unfavorable to our properties, we are likely to see more COVID relief and we must contend with the end of certain compliance relaxations we were given in 2020 or possibly their extension.

We are going to need each other to get through another year of unprecedented unknowns.

And that is why I am keeping the NCP Membership Group running and plan to continue to offer online education at the Housing Credit Training Center; host a 2021 NCP Conference; and use the NCP Professional Development Center as a forum to discuss the continued impact of the virus, any industry changes that arise because of the pandemic but also any new legislation in general.
